Ever wanted to beat up a bunch of 16-year-old kids? Of course, you have! now's your chance!
Special Ed Skirmish is more of an inside joke game for my friends to play, where a bunch of idiots (us) kill each other for no reason! This was made with Platform Fighter Engine and kinda stinks to play on your own but honestly it’s SUPER fun to play with friends.
You can play as various idiots and battle against more idiots, all equipped with their own arsenal of chaotic attacks, abilities, and mechanics. There are also lots of pretty funny stages, banger songs, and references in SES that may or may not get us copyright-struck, but that's fine cuz we'll argue that we're a bunch of kids and didn't know any better.
Jokes aside, me and my friends put a LOT of work into this game (sprites, songs, stages, idea generation, coding, etc) so we hope you enjoy it!
Please comment with any suggestions you have or bugs you find below, or don't - not like I'm gonna be bothered to fix it. (I'm kidding)

U Skirmishes (Strong, chargeable attacks)

On Paper, This game sounds like smash with pixel art and a bunch of dead memes. But in reality, It's still smash with pixel art and dead memes. But it looks and sounds like it was made by a small group of devs who put their heart and soul into the game. Every character has their own unique moveset and gimmicks. No "idiot" (characters) are the same which really encourage you to try new idiots/characters imo.
The stages are what you would expect. there's nothing really special. However, the stage music (and music in general), are all unique. You would expect every stage OST to sound the same but no, they are all different. Beachfront Brawl's Dubstep beat with LTG "You should kys NOW" speech for some reason, just fits perfectly. I am, however, not a fan of Muckbang Melee's soundtrack, despite the pixel graphics that the game has. The 8-Bit SOUNDTRACK, doesn't go as hard as the others.
But let's talk about the downsides:
The game has NO items... Which is stupid because the game itself says that there IS items in the game. I hope it'll get fixed at some point.
The controls are Wack as fuck, Making me use WASD to move a cursor isn't something that someone will find out immediately. Don't get me started on the controls themselves (I just found out that this has controller support. It's not that bad, in fact, it feels better to use a controller instead of the keyboard)
I'd give it an 8/10 the fact that this is just a demo means that this could only get better from here. Well Done.
Thanks so much for this, hopefully I can answer some questions here:
1) We use WASD because the game won’t know whcih player is using the mouse, therefore it can’t be implemented. If you don’t like the controls, you can easily change them in character select screen down by your player square by clicking the cog.
2) Items are going to be added for sure, it’s just coming in a later update
3) Most of the music will be remade to be kind of intense, and you’ll find that they all sound unique because we have two composers.
